Landport Lodge supports The Rowans Hospice

Landport Lodge No. 1776 was pleased to present The Rowans Hospice with a wonderful cheque for £1,100.00, this was raised by the Past Master, Paul Briggs, from his lady’s night during his year. The Lodge Almoner, Malcolm Childs, together with Paul Briggs and Doug Pharoah presented the Cheque in person to the CEO of Rowans, Ruth White.

This is the second time in just over three years that Landport Lodge No. 1776 has supported the Rowans Hospice.

The Hospice is based less than a mile from the Purbrook Centre where Landport regularly meets.  Rowans Hospice provides palliative and end-of-life care for those living with a life-limiting illness in the South East of Hampshire. Their highly trained hospice carers help to improve the quality of life for the patient by easing physical symptoms as well as offering psychological, spiritual, and social support to both patients and their loved ones.
