The Arthurian Lodge 5658 is the first lodge in the South East Area to achieve a Platinum Festival Award having donated the sum of £26,000. This is largely due to the fact that at the end of the 2016 Festival, having achieved a Gold Award, the then Charity Steward, Scott Clarke, suggested brethren continued to donate their monthly amount to the Lodge Relief Chest, so they had built up a not inconsiderable sum.
This enabled them to transfer £7,875 from the Lodge Relief Chest last night, in addition to £2,000 previously transferred to the 2027 Festival. A fantastic amount of money contributed to the MCF2027 Festival and what a prestigious award to receive from our APGM W.Bro. Chris Bayliss.
Chris expressed his thanks to the WM and Brethren of The Arthurian Lodge and also to the SE Festival Team of W.Bros Scott Clarke and Peter Hill for their help in coordinating this fantastic contribution to a very worthy charity.
