What happens when you mix the summer “Masonic layoff”, with a Friday night meeting, Cosham Masonic Centre and Taverners lodge? The simple answer is 109 people dining, and a night to remember!
The thirst for a good evening was palpable from the outset as the members of Taverners lodge were joined by in excess of 70 guests. They were treated to a first class double initiation and festive board. This was Past Masters night, and excellent ritual was delivered from their team, who had clearly worked very hard to hone their performances.
The Master’s chair was occupied by W. Bro Nick Milburn, who delivered a first-class ceremony, which was topped off with a superb delivery of the 1st Degree tracing board by the VW Bro Graham Williams.
Our very own South East Area Assistant Provincial Grand Master, W.Bro. Chris Bayliss, was in attendance to surprise W.Bro. Graham Oughton with his 40-year certificate.
As for the initiates, Brothers Luke Crooks and Adrian Scott, a better introduction to the camaraderie of Masonry could not be possible.
Well done Taverners, Freemasonry at its best!
