W.Bro Richard Hickox – 50 Year Certificate

W.Bro. Richard Hickox celebrated 50 years in freemasonry at the Lodge of Chivalry’s meeting on May 17th.

His certificate was presented on behalf of the Provincial Grand Master and Province of Hampshire and Isle of Wight by their Visiting Grand Officer, W.Bro. Jonathan Bell.

In a lovely presentation, Jonathan called on Richard’s son-in-law, Bro. Simon Weech, to give a warm, personal (and humorous) account of Richard’s masonry from a family perspective. Richard is a well-loved and active member of Chivalry. As well as the Lodge Organist, he brought his experience to bear by helping with part of the ceremony of Raising for Bro. Richard Martin – a lovely evening.
