W.Bro Eddie Lawrence, a member of Thomas Bennett Langton Lodge No. 9224 was able to use his love of football to help raise £300 for the registered charity – Epilepsy Action.
The devout Southampton F.C. fan had arranged a coach trip to attend Wembley Stadium to watch his beloved Saints play Leeds Utd in the Championship play-off final which took place last month.
Eddie asked the other passengers to bring a raffle prize for the journey, rather than pay the full going rate for travel. Following the drawing of tickets and prizes being distributed, Eddie was delighted to have raised the sum for his chosen charity.
Eddie is seen looking rather happy with himself, not only for the money raised for such a great cause, but also seeing his team win the very tight contest, and return to the Premier League.
