A new lodge is set to be consecrated in the Province early next year (2024). The Brian Bellinger Lodge of Installed Masters, in memory of our recently deceased PPGM, will be very different to other lodges. Its concept is to become a ‘Centre of Excellence’ within the Province, providing Past Masters recently out of the ‘Chair’, with the necessary knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about their future roles in Craft Masonry.
At an inaugural meeting in June, the ‘elected’ Primus Master, W. Bro. James Kneller, outlined the main principles of the lodge to its Founders. These will focus on and embrace change in the way meetings are managed and performed, discarding anything that is superfluous.
The Lodge will maintain the basic ethos and tenets of Freemasonry, adding vibrancy and modernity to its processes and practices. This will be achieved by providing an environment of shared knowledge through debate and close examination of current best practices.
The Consecration Meeting is scheduled for Friday, February 2, 2024, at the Novotel, Southampton. The first Regular Meeting will take place at the Winchester Masonic Centre on the 4th Wednesday in May (May 22, 2024), followed by the second Regular Meeting on the 2nd Wednesday in November (November 13, 2024).
