Hampshire & Isle of Wight Freemasons Support Local Communities with Nearly £400,000 in Annual Charitable Giving

Over the past 12 months, local lodges and provincial initiatives have rallied together to deliver vital funding to hospices, youth groups, medical charities, and community projects.

Over the past 12 months, the generosity, dedication, and community spirit of Freemasons across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight have achieved a monumental milestone. Through a combination of individual lodge fundraising, provincial grants, and collaborative charity initiatives, local brethren have contributed almost £400,000 to worthy causes and local non-profit organisations.

This extraordinary total reflects hundreds of fundraising events, lodge donations, personal pledges, and grant awards distributed to a vast array of beneficiaries across our towns, cities, and rural communities.

Supporting What Matters Most

Freemasonry is built upon the foundational principles of Integrity, Friendship, Respect, and Service. Over the last year, these values were put into vibrant action across four key pillars of community support:

  1. Hospices & Palliative Care: Providing essential funding to local adult and children’s hospices to ensure compassionate care for patients and families during their most challenging moments.
  2. Health, Medical & Air Ambulance Services: Supporting emergency first-response services, medical research, and vital equipment purchases for local healthcare teams.
  3. Youth, Education & Mental Wellbeing: Funding young carers, youth clubs, sports initiatives, and mental health outreach programs that empower the next generation.
  4. Local Grassroots & Food Banks: Standing shoulder-to-shoulder with local food banks, homelessness shelters, and community hubs battling rising living costs.
A Message of Gratitude

Commenting on the achievement, the Provincial Grand Master shared his heartfelt thanks to every Brother and supporter across the Province:

“Reaching nearly £400,000 in charitable giving over a single 12-month period is a humbling and inspiring achievement. Behind every pound raised is a story of dedication, whether it was a lodge raffle, a sponsored challenge, or a quietly organised donation to a neighbourhood group in need.

Our heartfelt thanks go to every Brother, partner, and friend of the Province who donated their time, effort, and funds. Together, we continue to demonstrate that Freemasonry is a force for good at the very heart of our local communities.”
