On May 13th 2026, The Lodge of Fraternal Union had the honour of hosting W.Bro Paul Hillyard on his final official visit before his investiture as Deputy Provincial Grand Master — and what an exceptional evening it proved to be.
W.Bro Paul, accompanied by a distinguished procession of 28 Grand and Provincial Officers, was warmly welcomed into the Lodge. Fraternal Union then conducted a superb Second Degree ceremony in fine fashion.
During the evening, W.Bro Paul presented Bro Morgan Tye with his Solomon Diploma, while the Worshipful Master, W.Bro Dave Bowen, proudly presented the Assistant Provincial Grand Master with a cheque for £1,000, securing the Lodge’s Silver Award qualification for the 2027 Festival.
The Lodge concluded proceedings by electing Bro Morgan Tye as Master Elect for the ensuing year, with his installation set to take place on 8th July. Morgan then went on to propose two joining members and four candidates for initiation — a clear reflection of the excellent health and continued growth of the Lodge.The Lodge of Fraternal Union is clearly going from strength to strength.
