Life-saving defibrillator donated to Hampshire retirement home

Brook House Lodge No.8606 handed over a new Defibrillator to residents of Homestead House in Romsey on the 25th June of this year.

Freemason Keith Morgan, whose Father in-Law is a resident at the scheme, pledged £600 (along with his wife – Sally) and together with the Lodge’s similar donation, enough was collected in order to purchase the device, and see it delivered.

The residents of the home have recently made steps to oversee the management of the building themselves, moving away from an external facilities management company. They have achieved many things since that time including the decoration of  several areas; replaced windows; purchased new TV equipment for the TV room, and Keith felt that this item would also be an essential item for the building.

Toby Wheatley (Current Master Of Brook House Lodge) stated, “Freemasonry is about helping people, raising funds and putting it back into the community.”
