Freemason to Undertake 100-Mile Charity Walk Marking Major Milestone

A Hampshire Freemason is preparing to take on an inspiring 100-mile charity walk to mark a significant moment in his Masonic journey while raising funds for a vital cause.

In April, W.Bro Dave will step down from the Chair of London Warwickshire Lodge No. 3846 after serving two successful consecutive years. The following month, he will reach another proud milestone when he is installed as Worshipful Master of his home lodge within the Provincial Grand Lodge of Hampshire & Isle of Wight.

To commemorate the occasion, Dave Johnson plans to embark on a four-day sponsored walk this March, travelling from Freemasons’ Hall in London to Totton Freemasons Masonic Centre in Lexby Road, just outside Southampton. Covering just under 100 miles, the journey represents both a personal challenge and a moment of reflection.

Dave hopes fellow members and supporters will join him for part — or even all — of the walk. While the challenge will be physically demanding, those who know him will not be surprised to hear he plans to complete it with his trademark smile.

The walk is being undertaken in support of Sands, the baby loss charity, which provides crucial support to families affected by the loss of a child. Through the challenge, Dave hopes to raise significant funds to support the charity’s vital work.
