The joys of visiting other lodges. Last night some brethren of Oakley Lodge joined the merry throng of Loddon Lodge no. 8223, at the Basingstoke Masonic Centre. We were treated to an excellent ceremony in the Lodge Room, I’m sure that the candidate being initiated was impressed particularly by the large number of brethren present. It was also an Official Visit with the North Central Assistant Provincial Grand Master and supporting team being present. 60 dinned, we ate well on sausage and mash with a rich onion gravy. Loddon Lodge is a daughter lodge of Oakley Lodge and it is very pleasing to see them prosper. Visiting is at the heart of Freemasonry.
